Package: dpkg
Version: 1.13.25
Followup-For: Bug #199651

$ dpkg -l |grep -v ^ii |wc -l
296
=> 296 remove packages with config files remaining (!)

I generally use dselect, it would be good if I hadn't potentially
~300 packages with potentially dangling config files, but only
the few for which I voluntarily keep the config files.

$ dpkg -l |grep -v ^ii |grep "^rc  lib"|wc -l
168
=> I have 168 'rc' packages starting with 'lib'

$ ls -l /var/lib/dpkg/info/lib*.conffiles |wc -l
29
=> But there are only at most 29 on my system which have conffiles...

=> at least 130 could have been purged, with all corresponding files
in var/lib/dpkg/info

Cheers
