Package: dpkg-dev Version: 1.16.0.3 Severity: wishlist Most of my packages are maintained in Git, with the separate changes, if broken out at all, broken out in separate branches with their own history. Since the tools like TopGit for generating a patch series from that setup are all rather awkward to use, I generally set single-debian-patch with a patch-header file explaining the situation.
Currently, I'm using options for that, but that means that any NMU changes are rolled into the same patch. I'd rather set single-debian-patch only for my uploads from the revision control repository so that NMUs are kept in separate patches. So I want to switch to local-options from options for setting single-debian-patch. The problem is that I have a patch-header file that explains why all the changes are merged together into one patch, and the contents of that file do not apply to any NMU patches and would be confusing. But there doesn't seem to be a way to make the patch-header apply only to uploads from my repository and not be included in the package.
