When working with upstream projects that don't use -Wall, adding it
can create a lot of noise

Hi,
please add "-Wall" to the CFLAGS returned by dpkg-buildflags.
Showing compiler warnings does not hurt, some of them may even reveal serious
programming errors and the others are easily ignored.
