Is perhaps 'curl' installed by default? What about rewriting the
cfengine rules to us curl instead?

I am currently playing with a FAI ruleset that installs Debian Edu
workstations.
While doing that, I noticed that the cfengine3 ruleset in d-e-c requires wget.
And in FAI based installations, wget is not installed by default. When
