namespace problem in sstream

hi i'm using libstdc++6-4.3-dev on amd64 and my application does #include sstream as the first include. when trying to compile i get /usr/include/c++/4.3/sstream:47: error: expected unqualified-id before ‘namespace’ line 47 in sstream is _GLIBCXX_BEGIN_NAMESPACE(std) i fail to figure out
