I have already removed it so cannot. Probably a recommend somewhere. I
did try to remove the fortran lib also but have a couple of packages
that still depends on it:

I'm exploring possible options like patching (upstream) GCC to disable
PIE for kernel or patching (upstream) kernel to disable PIE when it can
be disabled.
AFAIK the linux package is the only problematic package were the
maintainer refused to disable PIE from packaging scripts.

Trying to compile libgtop11dotnet-2.2.0.12 for a gemalto pki, i have a
build error that has nothing to do with the packages itself but
with the content of /usr/include/c++/6/bits/locale_conv.h

At leats I managed to compile without errors. You may weel close the bug
