There is no en_GB@euro locale supplied -- although the United Kingdom
has not yet joined the single European currency, we have sufficient
dealing with it that the Euro symbol is required.
The default character set for en_GB, ISO-8859-1, does
libc-alpha,
Kernel headers and glibc headers are mildly out of sync on HPPA, I'll
keep my eye out for further inconsistencies. This particular issue was
found while building the latest debian X packages. Odd that it didn't
turn up before.

I tested a glibc build, no regressions, and I even pulled the latest CVS
X source and did
Well, it's funny. I have seen exactly the same messages with any gcc
version on i386. The reason is still unknown. The guy downgrade once to
Woody and upgraded to Sid again. From this time, he got the mentioned
problem with gcc. The solution was:
- create a chroot
- install all the library packa

This is a heads up for people running 64-bit hppa kernels with new glibc
(2.3.1). Make sure you have at least 2.4.19-pa17, otherwise fcntl() will
break with the new glibc and you won't be able to use e.g. apt.
This was needed to fix some problems with lfs on hppa. Unfortunately it
