Bug#586388: executables built with libc6-dev 2.11.1-3 segfault in string handling functions

Package: libc6-dev Version: 2.11.1-3 Severity: critical Justification: breaks unrelated software After upgrading from libc6-dev 2.10.2-9 to 2.11.1-3, executables built with libc6-dev segfault on startup. gdb says that the segfault happens in string functions such as strrchr or strlen. The
