Package: nscd Version: 2.7-18 Severity: important
Over time, nscd runs away with all available memory. It seems to take a week or two, but it will gradually climb. Currently, for example: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 17727 root 20 0 1955m 1.4g 1468 S 0 54.8 3:47.51 nscd Some services are authing to Active Directory, some to local openldap. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this happening until other things started going wrong, so I don't know when it started. -Keith -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages nscd depends on: ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries nscd recommends no packages. nscd suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-glibc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
