with the cat man page,
-n, --number
number all output lines
-r, --reversible
use \ to make the output reversible, implies -v
-s, --squeeze-blank
never more than one single blank line
we see many problems with the iconv man page. One's eye has a hard
time due to no indentation or grouping to line above/below etc.
