Hi,
I've been trying to compile these devolopment kernels on my machine, but
they all seem to fail on the PDC Console code, even though I have not
selected this option (it's not even available in the test kernels). Has
anyone succesfully compiled any of these kernels on their machine? If
so, di

I'm installing 2.4.22 (one CD) on a C180 workstation. It hangs when installing
the base system.
The message is either:

or sometimes

Thanks,

just takes
a fixed ratio of the available memory of the machine. My guess is that your
C200 does
not have much memory and this ratio needs to adjusted.
The parisc-linux mail archives has some additional info on

kernel panic: ccio-dma.c: ccio_alloc_range() I/O MMU is out of mapping

HP D330, running unstable.
When installing squid from unstable, the process hangs at the "Creating
cache directories" stage.
stracing this reveals that squid is just sitting there making
sched_yield() calls, with occasional calls to nanosleep().
A perusal of the BTS reveals nothing enlightening.
