Could someone help me out with BTS 341675?
Suddenly the "uic" program from Qt fails to run on the hppa build
daemon. There is no relevant source change in cppunit between
revision -4 (which built on September 7) and revision -5. The build
log shows that it runs into a

OK: it sounds to me like the consensus is that HPPA should move to GCC
4.1 for C++, optionally leaving other languages at GCC 4.0.
Is this acutally decided? Is it likely to happen soon, or should I
build GMP with gcc 3.3 (which doesn't exhibit the problem) in the
short term?

hppa. But where is this documented? Without an documented
evidence trail, we can't collaborate on solving this; instead,
each person using "qmake" will run into this independently and

This is bug #480093 (sys/user.h broken on (at least) hppa) which
has been fixed in glibc/2.7-11.

The insighttoolkit package is a large and active code base. They use
a system of nightly build/test on a variety of machines [1] to ensure
that the code works on all supported platforms.
I run a build on my amd64 machine -- configured as the Debian ITK
packages -- to expose issues early.
