particular we do not have facilities that match the POSIX semantics for
fcntl locking, or (I think) the BSD semantics for flock. The specified

I attemped to compile Samba recently, but the configure script
complained that "locking" was not supported and that would make Samba
"unsafe." What locking is the script referring to and what needs to be
done in the Hurd to provide it?
Also, has anyone compiled MySQL or PostgreSQL on the Hurd?
