Is there anything to be done about this?

Hi
I made a fresh install now, this time with apt in $optlist of
cross-install, for it to be available from the start.
Everything went smooth this time, except for the known
/dev/fd/5: ALL:: error from tcpd (is it harmful?).
But apt doesn't work. (How do you hurd ppl install packages?).

The hurd disk is (hd1) for GRUB and hd4 for MACH.

Welcome to the Hurd.
I'm a professional programmer by day, and am thinking that it
could be cool to join the HURD project. I heard about it a long
time ago, but only recently took a long hard look at it. It
sounds pretty cool.
However the gnu hurd page seems to be from 97 and was most
recently updated in 99. Ouch,

Hello all
I decided to give the hurd a try. I'm just a user not a programmer.
All seem to go well once I figured out which drive and patition is
which. Got the system to boot up.
I used the tar ball method. 2921 tar file I think.
During the second run of native-install noticed message

This is my first attempted at a hurd install. I am at
a loss as to what to do right now, I am following the
"easy guide" and have gotten to the single user boot
step. I punch in all the right numbers, without
errors.
ie. root=(hd1,0), kernel=blahblahblah
