Well, just for the record, I'm still fiddling with adding an entropy
device to gnumach 1.x . However, my development machine died and I
haven't had a chance to fix it b/c I'm up to my ears in day-job work.
So, I'm sure no one's holding their breath but now that summer is

Note that this would only be a short term solution.

I was looking into packaging someone's work based on egd. However, egd
is in perl, and some particular required part of perl was broke

Why not? It is something that just needs to be discussed.
It was already discussed, read the

Me neither :-)
You could start by telling us what version of the Hurd Debian package
you have installed.

What about an entropy generator for GNU?
We have a couple hacks for gathering entropy, but th

I had problems with these. My mouse was not working correctly with

What am I doing wrong?
You must be using the repeater patch, are you using it? I don't know
in which version of the Debian package it is in.

How is /dev/cons created? Marco earlier sa
But it would be nice to have something that is a tiny bit more secure
in the Hurd package, IMHO.
Please don't bring up that old tired thread, good entropy or no
entropy.

What I do is: cp $RANDOM_BINARY /dev/urandom
for example:
cp /bin/bash /dev/urandom

(To Hurd console developers:) Is this the recommended way, or all (like
X) should refer to /dev/cons/{kbd,mouse}?
I think it would be better to use /dev/kbd and /dev/

What is needed to be done to provide entropy for ssh now?
Same thing as always, copy something to /dev/urandom, I like to copy
/bin/bash.
p.s. XFree works.
Hurray!
There used to be /dev/urandom where some entropy could be copied to enable
ssh to generate its keys.
What is needed to be done to provide entropy for ssh now?
Phil.
p.s. XFree works.
