Both the GNU Hurd FAQ and the Debian GNU/Hurd FAQs have been
relocated to http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/faq and
http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/debian-faq, respectively. I'm
not going to be able to pay much attention to these for about a
month (moving, work, hackers on my web site--life's a bi

This sounds good to me. Once you have an ID, we'll work out where

Under netscape 4.5, the index (rightmost frame) yields blue text (the links) on
black background which is difficult to read.

Okay, I've lined out everything for the Hurd web pages. These are now under
CVS. Anyone with a login on www.gnu.org should be able to access them with:
% export CVSROOT=:pserver:@www.gnu.org:/home/www/cvs
% cvs login
% cvs get -d hurd-html html/software/hurd
See cvs(1) for more commands. You
I installed the Hurd using only dpkg files on a new system this
weekend and got it booting single user before I ran out of time.
I kept a log of everything I did (including mistakes) that may be
found at http://www.corridor.com/~sfavor/hurd-faq/hurd-log.html.
Thought it might be useful so I put it

I understand. I'm going to mirror it but suggest that you put something
prominent
like "Official site : " at the top of it. Many people will make
their way
there to make sure they are looking at the latest.

FYI, I'll be placing the web pages on www.gnu.org under CVS
control this weekend (either Friday or Saturday evening). This
should be an invisible change unless someone happens to be
changing something when I swap things. On the off chance that you
see something odd resulting from the change, plea

Did anyone make a copy of this before Matthew's machine went offline. I'd

After a little discussion with Gordon, the FAQ for Debian GNU/Hurd has
been split into two documents: the Debian GNU/Hurd FAQ and the GNU Hurd
FAQ. Both of these may currently be found under
http://www.corridor.com/~sfavor/hurd-faq.
The Debian GNU/Hurd FAQ should be considered a supplement to the

The first pass at the FAQ is ready for public consumption at:

Comments, additional Q&A, corrections, spell checking, etc. are welcome.
