there is a patch for the SIS900-card. You can find it in the debian-hurd
mailing list (one or two months ago).

I figured out how to check (scanned kern.log), and I the line in the log is:

web.walfield.org, and www.debian.org, but have encountered some
difficulty with setting up the network.
