Hi,
I'm a long-time ia64 Debian user (> 10 years). I'm mostly focused on
desktop aspects (GNOME, Iceweasel, LibreOffice, Qt Creator, C++ 3D
software development) while most other ia64 users that I know are more
inclined on server use.

I am very happy to announce that the debian-installer images targeted for
Beta2 are now in testing (except AMD64) and that daily (etch_d-i) netinst
and buisinesscard CD images using them are now available from [1].
These images use the 2.6.15-7 kernel.
Note: full CD images are not yet available,
I've made a complete mess of CD images for Beta2 so far as the result of a
wrong assumption. This means, as some installation reports and comments
have shown, that CD images linked from [1] have been broken since last
Friday.
The good news is that there are now good Beta2 netinst and businessca

Here's a quick update for where we seem to be at for hurd-i386.
I now have a machine at home with the Hurd running on it again, so I can
do some work when my brain is too tired for the RC bugs in glibc. ;)
The buildd should start spewing out packages this week. Ryan and Nick

Here's an overall status update:
1) libc0.3 was accepted last night. It should be in today's dinstall

Okay, so here's a snapshot of what's happening over the next month and
a bit or so:
By the 15th, I will have moved my turtle box to another facility and
will be disconnecting my Internet access at home.

FYI - With the RedHat 7.1 release filling up the mirrors, I haven't
been able to get any source files off of my local mirror for a couple
of days. I'll try again tonight. I'm away for the weekend, so the
next attempt will be Sunday night.
