Hi,
I'm considering to build up a public wlan hotspot. I need time-limited
authentification, mainly for identity logging purposes, not for billing.
I thougt about buying tickets (perhaps around 1 EUR/h) with time-limited
username and password on it.
Where should I put in the authentification?
If we work with iptables, we have to authenticate the client in some
way. Though I think it is possible to extend iptables, this would
exceed my abilitys a lot.
But maybe would be the cleanest / best solution :-) Okay then ...
I fully agree, but as I said, it exeeds my skill, I think
for I#m goning to have a siemens sx1, i've no need for hscsd and, if i
understand it right, there is no way to use gprs with a dial-up
connection.
and about the server thing, i had the impression, that mgetty should
do it (i need one laptop connection to the server (which is very
cheap to call)

I think 1) has been discussed a few times...
BUT FULL ACK TO 2)!!
TA 1) has any thought been put in place to moderate all posts from

If I understand you, this definitly seems to be the reason... When you
enter the information in your browser, you have to enter a port, too.
This port has to be open.
If you use the

Now the problem is gone I would agree with you, but why did access
on virtual webservers work?
