Ho notato una stranezza montando partizioni smb,
ovvero posso montare più volte la stessa partizione, senza che mi restituisca
un errore.
Es.
mount /mnt/pccommon/
mount /mnt/pccommon/
Monto 2 due volte la stessa cosa e mi ritrovo in /etc/mtab:
//csint1/pccommon on /mnt/pccommon type smbfs (rw)
//

Se eseguo da root:
mount -t smbfs -o username=BNC\\valter.valenti,password='$pippo2009'
//srvxxx/sharing /mnt/sharing
il mount viene fatto correttamente.
Se invece inserisco nell' /etc/fstab la seguente riga:
//srvxxx/sharing /mnt/

se non erro, e la memoria non mi inganna, la stessa cosa la puoi fare con le
partizioni dei dischi..

Nel senso che c'è samba sia come client che come server?
Di primo acchito mi viene da indagare su quel "$" presente nella
password... Non vorrei che fosse male interpretato da qualche
comando:

Su testing con ancora gnome2, da qualche settimana,
il mount di risorse smb fallisce. Le stesse le monto tranquillamente a mano
(via mount).
Tra i vari pacchetti gvfs-* non vedo installato "gvfs-daemons", ma il mount di
altri tipi di
risorse funziona perfettamente (es via sftp). Il pacchetto "gv
