I got a request (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=676877)
to add the jvisualvm provided via java-package generated packages in the
PATH.
I'd prefer to make the visualvm available on its own in debian (jvisualvm
being a oracle promoted stable and tested release of visualvm)

Great :-) !
I uploaded it on git. I didn't import previous svn, just
I've put back support for oracle-java6 >= update10.
Do you need previous java6 releases to be supported too ?

Priorities were set to 316 for sun-java6-jre and 315 for sun-java6-jdk in
java-package-0.42
Should I follow this, with for example 3

You're right, I removed it to get a clean start, but putting it back is
To build upon several threads regarding java-package, I've played with it
on my side with the hope it could find his way back in debian (I too need
clean installs of Oracle java on debian, should it only be because it's

Mathieu, lein is using maven repos, so you may simply allready have those
jars in your repo ?
Try with an empty one.
You may also try "lein pom" to generate the pom equivalent of the
project.clj file and then use plain maven with it.

Hello Eric.
I once waited for an answer from Christine regarding freemind and then
forgot it all, but I'm still interested in packaging it and related libs.
I currently trying to package EJS with Georges Khaznadar (Georges is debian
maintener and EJS user with little java knowledge, I'm a java

You may use a generic xpath utility such as xml_grep (from xml-twig-tools)
xml_grep --text_only "/project/version" pom.xml

Hello.
I'm trying to package Ejs (http://fem.um.es/Ejs/) and learn the process and
tools to use on the way.
- I downloaded the source package, unzip and rename to ejs-4.3.4
- I used jh_makepkg to build the debian files skeleton (with debian/rules
like : '%: dh --with javahelper $@")
- I will
Hi to all.
I'm a java developper and debian daily user for some years and would like
to start contributing on packaging.
I noticed that freemind was looking for an adopter (
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=622960) and looked for
existing work, which leads me to two questions :
