That sounds a bit risky and prone to break in the future. The JAXB RI is
licensed under CDDL+GPL2, so it should be possible to package it and
depend on this version instead.

was about to suggest the same thing after stumbling on the -gcj
packages in libitext-java and bouncycastle.
The only use case I can think of is for building a non Java project with
Ant when a JDK is not available. Not sure it really makes sense though.
