Hi,
can someone tell me what to extra install so that kscreensaver find the
screensavers from the xscreensaver package (all Woody)?
I saw that on Potato mashine but had done nothing to enable this. But here,
the additional ones are not in the list i

Can you try running kpackage from the command line and mail us the errors
hello,
when you see the drkonqui krash dialog, you should have a 'backtrace' tab.
if the problem is not yet known, the contents of that tab can be very
helpfull to determine the cause of the crash ...
greetings,

I installed kde-2.1.2 with install task-kde. This set up a panel icon for
kpackage. But kpackage fails to start from icon or cmd line. Everything else
seems to work fine including aa fonts. Any ideas on fixing this?

Hello,
Ivan has packed the screensavers in their own package.
apt-get install kscreensaver
should fix your problem.

My first thought is to try backing up and then deleting your old konquerorrc,
seeing if favicons work (which they should) and then seeing if there's any
obvious differences in the conf

Hi,
Konqueror is not working as advertised, it doesn't show favicons (e.g. on
www.heise.de). I'm sure this worked sometimes in the past, but I don't recall
when it broke. Is this a local configuration thing or a Debian issue? I'm
using unstable.
Ciao...
I should have read the debian-kde archive list (I currently do not subscribe)
first. I am going to guess that kscreensaver was pulled from kdebase and
made a separate package. I have reinstalled it, and am now happily saving
the screen.
New question:
Is there a way to get a current list (and
With the most recent update of kde packages for debian/unstable, a number of
things occured that are worthy of a bug report, but I can't believe they are
not already reported:
1) screensaver has only a blank screen, all other options went away
2) The default fonts have changed
3) other ?

Or : you simply add the deb-src lines of unstable/testing to sources.list,
and get & build all packages yourself with 'apt-get -b source '.
With that, you don't must to install the half of all unstable packages (new
libc, etc.), if you only need the newest gnumeric.

I think there is a way. But you have to go with an APT ( and dpkg ?) from
unstablee or testing.
After that it should be possible to use the pinning feature from APT and
you can install gimp/unstable. (I have not playerd with that as I have an
unstable system)
Ciao Matthias
