I installed on 7/9 and things worked fine. Then I upgraded on 7/10
(yesterday) and today it is broken. I get the following messages for each
kde application that tries to configure
KUniqueApplication: DCOP communication error!
during the KDE start. Startup takes a much longer than normal
many error occur as I tried to open the doc transfered kwd file
also how do you transfer from doc to kwd(or any way can direct read doc
without change to kwd?)

Which is the best way if I want to install Kde 2.2 Beta1? I've downloaded the
.deb from ftp.kde.org. Could it cause any problem for any future update with
apt-get if I install this version?

kde.debian.org but it only mentions KDE 2.1.x and not 2.2.

I was playing around with kdevelop 1.4 and found that it lagged behind in
terms of bug fixes / features. What about having the devel. version in the
