I've had that happen too... for some reason xmms
Whenever I double-click a song in XMMS to start play, there is no sound.
All that happens is that each song in my list in highlighted in turn for
about 1 second, then the selection moves down.
Perhaps something has broken in the latest Debian update? I know that

Hello all,
I just performed an update & dist-upgrade, and I believe one of the new
packages was a Konqueror deb with a version of 2.2.1-2. Now, upon launching
konqueror and attempting to go to any web page, it quickly displays *some* of
the page, but then crashes before I am able to do anything.
hello everybody !!!
I just wanted to know why the kde-i18n-fr package doesn't contains the
kdevelop docs and .mo file, as the french translation team translated it for
kde 2.2.1
Is it in the others i18n packages ?
Thanks a lot !!

So I recently installed Progeny, and installed their
KDE. Then KDE 2.2 came out, so I managed to uninstall
their KDE and install the KDE from unstable (with the
apt sources, etc.). apt seems to be as cool as
everyone says. Now, I want to upgrade to 2.2.1, and
this is a totally newbie question: Wh

This was a very interesting occurence -- last night, following an apt-get
upgrade, noatun began functioning on my Debian unstable system.
I realize that I seem to have a rather personal experience in this as no
other users have reported the problems I've endured. Previously, noatun
would simpl

Ohh, sorry, I meant no offence to you Ivan..
A quick run through with Gnome apt shows that every package matched the
availiable ones, and that all important kde debs. like kdelibs, kdebase,
kdelibs3 and kdelibs3-crypto are up to date (2.2.1-1/2 in most cases), soo I
have no "old" leftovers caus
Ok, I understand why MP3 support isn't in the standard packages for the
audiocd IO Slave, but the Control Center still has a config panel for MP3
encoding.
Personally, I'd REALLY like this MP3 support (and it was one of the things
that first inspired me when I heard about KDE 2.2). Is this func
