I was just a little curious about how kde 3.0.1 performs against 2.2.2?
Are there any noticeable differences in performance? Like speedier
startup times, snappier apps?

Cheers

Hi,
I've installed the KDE 3.0.1 debs and they're working great. Now I want to set
some global environment variables (KDEDIRS, LC_ALL, LANG, ...). I've put them
in /etc/environment like I did under KDE 2.2.2. Unfortunately KDM doesn't
seem to read this file. The variables are not set.
How do I
Hi,
Libarts1 (of KDE3) 'conficts' with libarts. Could it 'provide' it, too, so we
could install wine & others, or is the library backwards incompatible?

Thanks. I read something about integration with LDAP for the addressbook

I don't remember anything about Exchange, but I'm going to check again.
Thanks again

Hallo debian-kde,
I am trying to install the unofficial kde3 debs using the following

It doesn't work, with apt-get update (or dselect) I get the error:
Failed to fetch http://kde3.geniussystems.net/debian/ ./Packages 503
