Hi all,
The gcc3.2 transition has started! This is immensely exciting because it
means that KDE3.1 could be in sid as soon as a week from now - possibly
even less time.
But, it also means unstable's in a state of flux. Read: broken.
Currently, XFree86's GLU is not built against g++3.2. Nor is Qt3

I am building my own QT3 debs with g++3.2. Should I stop compiling and

I can't install KMail Cool on my Debian Unstable box. When I perform a

Hi,
I think some of you know PuTTY. I like the idea of managing ssh accounts and

this is absolutely not was I was looking for.
Any recommendations?

I'd like to be able to open a bunch of files from konqueror with one
instance of a program. For instance, if I have a bunch of anime episodes,
I could select them in konqueror and have select open from the contextual
menu. This would launch one instance of the player (in my case mplayer)

Hi there,
It might be me, but think about it for a moment.
If it's gzipped, how can KDE/Konq etc know what is INSIDE the gzip without
opening it? ie the mimetype will be the zip, not the pdf/ps file. So, it gets
opened with Ark. I fail to see how else it could work to be honest.

Hello,
I've been using a self compiled version ok KDE-3.1 Beta. Today I've
instaled the "sid" packages for KDE-3.1 from Ralf (great job!) and then
the "Linux" font for Konsole has changed from the old hanitual to
another bigger and uglier (also mon

Note also that, in KDE 3.1, the printer control module in the control
panel has been moved from "System" to "Peripherals".

Both Ralf and I also package a set of KDE applications, but two different

Could it be possible to add showimg to your set of packages ? I think
it's a good program :)
Cheers,
Patrice.
Confirm you have cupsys installed.
I did notice things worked slightly different, but once I installed the
cupsys, kde connected no problem to localhost:631 for it's printing needs.

Hi,
if I select a link which points to a PDF or a Postscript file, the
document is openend embedded in the konequeror window -- which is fine.
But if the document is gzip'ed, an ark window is opened and first I have
to select the document inside the archive and then click open to view the

Hi,
I'm in trouble with kmail and gpg. Sometimes, when opening a gpg signed
message, kmail hangs. gpg is working correctly, and kmail configured. It
worked before upgrading to Ralph's debs.
KMail starts the process "gpg --batch --decrypt". If that proc is killed,
kmail still works and I can read t
