Hi,
kmrml (the executable is mrmlsearch), which is part of kde, seams to depend on
GIFT (http://www.gnu.org/software/gift/) to work. If it is not installed, the
program does not do anything and we don't know why. Futhermore, GIFT is not
in debian (I don't know why), so there is a problem here :

I can't reproduce this here, but then I haven't upgraded for a week. So
if there's been a new libqt or kdelibs or something that's the cause of

Dear Ralf,
Thank you for your reply.
I have done what you said and successfully installed KDE 3.1.1 with
apt-get install.
I must feedback to you that
apt-get install kdebindings
does not work because kdebindings is not recognized as a package. This
is just for your information.

Hi list,
Every now and then I meet a good app that isn't in Debian (sid) and compile it
myself. It doesn't always seem so simple wth kde apps however. I tried to
compile kopete; Compiling goes fine but when I run the program (from the
source dir,) the prompt comes back immediately, and there's

After upgrading Quanta ( 3.1 to 3.1.1) in Sid is Quanta not longer useable.
Quanta starts without Problems but then i can not do anything in Quanta.
I have to kill it manualy.

Hi!
I got a strange problem when uprgading KDE from 3.1.0 to 3.1.1. I'm
using packages for Woody from:
deb http://ftp.du.se/pub/mirrors/kde/stable/3.1/Debian stable main
No text is rendered, instead everything shows up as straight horizontal
lines. All the dialog boxes are very wide, apparently
