x.org server: mixture of ubuntu and debian packages can be problematic

Hello, some time ago I reported that I got x.org running with ubuntu packages and that I used some packages like kwin from ubuntu too, to get KDE composite support. Well the latter idea of mixing KDE packages from alioth and ubuntu did not work out that nice: Login into multiple KDE sessions

Hello, I've installed kde 3.4 on Sarge (kernel 2.6.8) on a sony vaio TR5GP. The problem I'm facing is cdrom or usb devices is not showing up in Devices in konqueror. When i click on Devices i get "Protocol not supported devices" error. Please help. Thanks in advance. -- Devraj Paul
