I have a weird problem with KDE Plasma right now. I'm using kubuntu vivid.
sorry if I need to post to a kubuntu form and not here.
KDE programs crash or do not work properly if i use one particular login,
but I can not reproduce these issues with a newly created user and KDE
settings.

the kernel.
If debian sticks to cfq, then the performance problems kubuntu people
are seeing won't hit the debian users, I think...

Baloo is really trouble, at least in its current form. It made my
upgrade/restore process (and every other process that I spawned after that)
take a lot longer until I figured out how to disable it.

Hi - I'm running a kanotix debian unstable with 2 screens in twinview
mode, nvidia fx5500. Works great with Kaffeine, I can go into full
screen mode on either of my two screens.
When I run VLC, however, a GTK app running inside KDE, it only seems

hi - i got a brand-new install of kanotix and a matrox G550.
I got the driver installed and running fine with the version of xorg
that came with kanotix 2005-04, but now I want to install
libgtk2.0-dev, and my attempt to do this is causing apt to want to
upgrade xorg7.

bugs.kde.org has a field where you report what version you are using,
and what source of packages they came from.
Try using the "report bug" feature of the actual KDE application, then
it will include all that version information in the bug report for you

When I select the "K" menu, one of my choices is "lock screen".
It's one of the few menu choices which I am unable to find in kmenuedit.
Is there a command one can run from the command line which does the
same thing as "lock screen" from the k menu?

my sources.list. Tried a dist-upgrade and it kept all my kde apps back.
Then I tried
apt-get -t experimental dist-upgrade
and it found the 3.4 KDE packages but also tried to upgrade to
