KDE 3.5 has been patched to support recent versions of libmeanwhile. KDE
3.4.x won't work with the libmeanwhile packages currently in the archive.
Thus it will be a little while yet before meanwhile support can be turned

No, the fixed kdenetwork package failed to build on powerpc because of a
packaging problem in gcc-3.3 that remains to be fixed. It should all be

Yes, the current situation with X is a mess. That said, you shouldn't be
seeing a difference between kdm and startx unless you've got some old

Did anyone else running Sid find that today's QT update broke support for
KDE Styles? I seem to be stuck with CDE, Platinum, and a few other basic
choices. Plastik, Keramik and the other KDE Styles are no longer
available.

This is a known bug, KDE #67891. Vote for it to encourage the
powers-that-be to fix it for 3.2.2.
I experienced the crashes as well, though I found that if I added the
Quick Launcher, didn't touch it (or did I simply add new icons but not
rearrange them? Can't recall...), and then restarted KDE
I'd certainly be willing to help test it, and I'm sure there are others
who would jump at the chance as well.
