Hello,
If I try to run Konqueror as root while logged in as a normal user (same
as clicking on "File Manager - Super User Mode" from the KDE menu) it
crashes with this error: /tmp/mcop-cloverm is not owned by user. Of
course not, because I just became root. If I chmod root.root
/tmp/mc
Has anyone done this successfully? Can this person make the .deb package
available for others? I tried it, but the compiler always stopped with
cryptic error messages (which usually is the case every time I try to
compile something from source) ...

Hello,
Does anyone know how to change the cursor blinking rate in KDE 3.0.2?
I'm trying to do this for kate and kwrite, but there's nothing in
kcontrol.
I would also like to change the shape/color/size of the mouse pointer.
How can I do that?
Thanks.

This might have been asked before, but is there a way of making KDE3 and
wine like each other? Have KDE3 installed but wine wouldn't install
because of dependency problems.

Any ideas when we might see KDE3 on unstable?

I checked my kdoc and I'm getting the same garbage. Oh well, I can live
with that until the official packages come out. What really bothers me
is kate crashing on me all the time. I hope these are problems with the
unoffical packages and not KDE 3 ...

Can be downloaded from here: http://www.unc.edu/~crimsun/kde3-unofficial/
It worked for
me!
While compiling KDE3, I noticed that after unpacking the source code bz2
files, every one of them has a subfolder called "debian". What is this
folder for? Does this mean that I have compile something different for
Debian-based systems?
