Weird kword problem: frame borders don't print well

Hi everybody, I'm using kde packages (3.1.5) from unstable on a system that is otherwise a sarge box. When I try to print a document that has frame borders, the borders don't print at all, or are very, very thin. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Here is an example The kword file:
