Debian ships all sorts of software, including even
non-free software. Would it be possible to continue
rebuilding and shipping KDE 3.5, perhaps in contrib,
perhaps with a huge no security updates disclaimer?

Even with perfect packaging KDE SC 4 is slow and unreliable,
gimmick-rich but feature-poor. KDE SC 4 probably has no future and
certainly has no place in Debian STABLE.

Not anymore, but it used to be that case.
Since http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin
is rushing to remove it.
(3) Does Debian really want to implement robust migration both
to MySQL (for Squeeze) and then out of MySQL (for Squeeze+1)?

Thanks to the Debian KDE team for keeping KDE 3.5 in Lenny. KDE 3.5

time before KDE 4 catches up with KDE 3.5.

Since Evolution's downgrade, KMail is the only client I know of

this piece of KDE 4

downgrade to ktorrent2.2. Why not release ktorrent version 2.2
in Lenny and maybe have a ktorrent3 package for anyone that wants
