n the same box works w/o any anomalies. Of the packages that were upgraded, those that might be relevant were (iirc) libqt3c102, xserver-xfree86, xserver-common, and (maybe) xlibs. I can't find any related-seeming error messages in ~/.xsession-errors... I want my TTfonts back! -- Robe
