I don't remember exactly, but I had quite the same issues with fglrx
on my 4870x2 at some moment. I've just switched to opensource driver
and enjoyed faster compositing that I had with fglrx:)

Well, I have an issue that remained on my Debian system from KDE 4.3
or even 4.2 (And I have it now in 4.4).
It's a krunner freeze when typing (usually I got it when I mistype something).
If I'm not alone, then it's definitely the bug that must be solved.

Ok. If it will not help, I'll write it.

I'm using 2.3 now and I don't have any of these issues.
I'm currently using all KDE/Qt related stuff from sid/experimental.
Third one may be related to your phonon backed. Try to choose another.

Another oddity. Many of the tweaks (like album art, tracks listed as various
artists, etc) didn't carry over from the upgrade. So I will check list
tracks under various artists as I come to them. Well, in various artists,
each track creates a new album of the same

But why?

If removing amarok config doesn't help please try to run amarok --debug
from the console and look at the messages.
Looks like you have some strange file, which is scanned during that 12%
moment.

My friends have experienced the same problem few days ago.
But now they're not accessible.
Have you tried to use clean configuration (remove ~/.kde)?

Well, I just wanted to say that you can determine what is wrong in your user
configuration and find what makes a problem by removing parts of your
configuration if the problem is there (removing .kde will check it).
