Is it? This is a serious problem - upgrades from woody to sid should be
seamless. I recall having to epoch several of my KDE modules from 0: to
4: because the woody backports had incorrect version number

AFAIR, it is a problem with lm-sensors. You will probably need to
install libsensors-1debian1.

the KDE 3.1.2 packages are broken. There are some packages of a new patch
level, but some are missing. It would be better to return to an older, but
unbroken patch level. Can somebody fix it?

Hi there, I've installed woody on my friend's computer
and added ftp.kde.org sources for KDE 3.1.2 and installed
it as well (base and i18n). The problem is that when KDE's
splash screen shows, it disappears almost immediately. I'm
unable to use KDE. Any other WM works fine.
