As far as I know it's a bug in xorg.
Check this new nvidia driver:

It's Beta and not many cards are listed, but try it anyway. I'm using it with a
Geforce Go 7300 which isn't supported by this beta release, but it works and

You are totally right, I updated libgl1-mesa-dri and libgl1-mesa-glx to 7.
