I'm trying to debug within KDevelop. When I select to debug a binary,
KDevelop shows a big error message "Could not start debugger. Could not run
'lldb-mi'. Make sure that the path name is specified correctly".
I can manually configure to use GDB instead
Please upload KDevelop 4.6 to repositories, if possible.

I've tried to install it manually, however I've run into such dependency
problems that I haven't even man

powerful - ages ago, but didn't even think to look outside the
.kde/ directory for things to rename out of the way.
I suspect something bit me from an earlier dodgy installation
of kdevelop (when I first heard about the php support being
usable (as distinct from stable)).

Could you try to remove:
~/.kdevduchain/
~/.kde/share/config/kdeveloprc
and run kdevelop4.

On Sarge, when installing and configuring the Vim component, it doesn't turn
up in the editor list in KDevelop (configure -> editor -> embedded editor).
It does, however, work for an application as KWrite.
This is, for me, quite a pity.

I'm a newbie and i burned the 7 CD's to install Debian GNU/linux 3.0 stable

I selected all the programming tools using dselect and afterwards I saw

A work around for now is to purge the packages, then reinstall them, but
answer no when asked if you want to generate the global documentation
index. Let me know if that doesn't work.

It is still in the Alpha stages, but it is quite useable. I now use it
in place of KDevelop 2.1 and it runs quite well for me.
There is a simple template for SDL programs. There is also an Automake
manager interface, which greatly simplifies dealing with automake
files.

unstable packages are only available for i386.
The powerpc packages for stable were compiled by Alex.
You should use the following apt source lines.

have discovered that it is unable to find the htdig.conf file. I installed
htdig from woody debian package and the file path is /etc/htdig/htdig.conf.

is there anyway to use the docs generated by doxygen (kdelibs4-doc) within
KDevelop 2.1? It looks so good, I don't want to use the doc generated by KDoc
anylonnger ;-)
I already took a look at
KDevelop complains about not being able to find HtDig.conf when trying to
index the Qt and KDE libraries. HtDig has been installed from the Debian
packages and the .conf file is in /etc. Any ideas? Possibly rebuilding
HtDig?

program htdig tailored for use with kdevelop. I never tried it, tough,
because i think its'nt compatible with the original htdig, which I use.
