Mind boggling. I logged off this box, and back on as another user.
Konqueror works fine with the pluggin.
Logging back off as that user, and back on as the original user, konqueror
also works.
Moral to this sad tale: restart kde . . . .

I have just updated the system here to the very latest that Sid has to offer.
The shock/flash I had was old, so I removed it and installed the latest 5
for netscape. Netscape runs with shock 5 well.
Then there is Konqueror. It refuses to run the pluggins. I have scanned for

There are some things that I found out about Flash recently:
* Flash is a memory hog, and doesn't like it if it doesn't get all the memory
it wants (i.e. it won't start if it doesn't have enough memory, so turn off
unnecessary apps.)
