Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686

I can confirm the problem:
Calling: /usr/lib/xcdroast/bin/xcdrwrap CDRECORD dev= "ATAPI:0,1,0" gracetime=2

Version: 2.6.8-4
Severity: minor
File: /lib/modules/2.6.8-1-k7/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/apm.ko
It seems thru several upgrades we are unable to bid adieu to messages
at boot like
modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting apm
(/lib/modules/2.6.8-1-k7/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/a
Version 2.6.8-4 of kernel-image-2.6.8-1-k7-smp has different symptoms:
kacpid uses 100% CPU time when a UPS is connected to the serial port.
On 2.4.22 and .27 kernels (and presumably all others with recent ACPI),
keventd uses 100% CPU time. I can run top and see kacpid/keventd jump up to
100% CP
It is happening the same to me in a Pentium 4 running Fedora and a Athlon
XP2400+ running Sarge unstable... exactly the same. No idea what can be.

The new "ub" module, introduced in linux 2.6.9 is the new driver for USB
mass storage devices that doesn't emulate scsi device, but creates new
/dev/ub* block devices instead. It looks promising, however now it's not
enough mature to be usable.

When starting 2.6.9, everything hangs when starting the framebuffer
module for my TNT2 card.
I have 2 gfx cards: an AGP ATI AIW (R128), and an NVIDIA TNT2.
There's nothing in the logs.
