Hi Alex,
thanks for your bug report. Sorry for the long delay in replying.
Long inbox...
I took a quick look into this. Unfortunately I can't find dm_snapshot.c
in either the kernel tree or the evms source code tree, nor anything
that looks like it. Do you have any idea where it is?

Hi,
I would also like to have kernel-image-sparc-2.2, and
kernel-source-2.6.9 and its associated image and patch packages
removed. 2.6.9 is dead and 2.6.10 has replaced it. If you have
an architecture for which 2.6.10 is broken, now is your chance to

Dear Kernel maintainers,
I have just compiled and am now running the kernel-source-2.6.10-5

I also have this problem with the 2.6.10 DeMuDi kernel.
(Also the system sometimes becomes locked up especially while running "jackd -R"
but that probably is unrelated.)

Ok, the important distinction to draw is security fixes that involve ABI
changes vs those that do not. As long as the ABI remains the same, it's
relatively easy to get fixed debs in, and to update the installer to use

Hi Joey,
I am looking for some advice on releasing 2.4.27-9, or not as
the case may be.
There are a few security bugs that have been found recently
that are patched. Everything else is pretty minor. The changelog
is below for your reference. And have been checking, and there

FWIW, I had what appears to be the same problem with 2.6.9 kernel, and it
worked fine on
2.6.6. So likely something changed either in 2.6.8 -> 2.6.9 or in
2.6.7 -> 2.6.8
Examining the 2.6.8 changelog finds this:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
[PATCH] FAT: don't use "utf8" charset and NLS_DEFAU
Further information:
The system in question is a Celestica A8440 [1].
If I pass "nomce" to the kernel boot options, to bypass Machine Check
Exceptions, then I can almost get the kernel-image-2.6.8-10-amd64-k8-smp
to a working state. It hangs on loading the "Real Time Clock Driver
v1.12" but I can

But I have been told that the tg3 driver is broken.
Do you know if it is fixed?
