Upgrading to kernel 2.6.14 solves this problem. At least inserting a
USB key creates an entry in /dev which can be mounted. The automount
stuff doesn't work in my installation, but I don't really mind.
Thanks!

It's a little cumbersome having to special-case powerpc64 though.

Hi kernel team,
I'm trying to build an external module on powerpc. Builds against
-powerpc and -powerpc-smp headers are working fine, but they fail

This bug is a bit weird :-)
Apparently the binaries in m68k -headers were built for i386.
This breaks builds of external modules as they try to execute eg.
scripts/basic/fixdep on m68k.

External module builds against ia64 headers currently fail in the
linker stage with an error about missing arch/ia64/module.lds.
Perhaps this is a reincarnation of #266804 ?

klibc is a userspace part, not a kernel modul. The headers packages are
there to build kernel modules against.

The new header-packages for 2.6.15-rc4 are missing arch/i386/Makefile.cpu.
The symlink is there, at least, in linux-headers-2.6.15-rc4-k7, but
leads to a non-existant file.
