Only i2c_powermac gets included/loaded without manual intervention. I

1. All the scripts/commands should be run on the client.
2. As far as I can tell, you can't just move the directory, you have to move
each file, but again, I was able to trigger it with just the process of
making the files.

I've recreated a test-system now (bootstrapped sid, i386).
It booted correctly (and I was able to ssh-login) when using the
2.6.32-5-486 kernel.
With the same -amd64 kernel it (reproducibly) hanged again.
I told this to the friendly Star-Hosting folks, and hope that they'll now
make the test
