I get the same problem under Ubuntu 13.04 and Xubuntu 13.10 with LXDE. I
can confirm that the keys do not work. I'm having to type this with the
previous keyboard.

Correcting earlier mistake plus:
Wheezy installer and current default 3.2 kernel exhibits this problem.
The wheezy-backports 3.9 kernel does not have the problem.
