After upgrading from linux-image-3.13.1 to 3.14.1, the screen on my laptop (a
Dell D630) is very dim to almost black. Booting to the to image 3.13-1, using
grub, resolves the issue.

Bug seems to have disappeared on 3.14.4-1. I reported this upstream;
not sure how to handle closing/resolving of the reports; apologies if
the mark-fixed is incorrect.
