Hello, I've been able to get my desktop, which is running stretch and
kdump-tools, to write kdump cores much more reliably after having
blacklisted some drivers in the kexec kernel.
/etc/default/kdump-tools:
KDUMP_CMDLINE_APPEND="modprobe.blacklist=snd_hda_intel"
