Having the same problems here on a Lenovo T520. It used to happen only
if I had the internal screen and an external monitor both active. Now it
happens randomly with only and external monitor hooked up since the
upgrade to 4.9.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.65-3 (2017-12-03) x86_64
GNU/Linux.

Without installing, updating or removing any software, I am
experimenting with kernels 4.9.0-4-amd64 and 4.9.0-3-amd64.
When I applied the Debian 9.3 upgrade, it installed a new kernel and

Hi list,
We've experienced lock-ups at boot time as well. After upgrading to
3.16.51-2 the system would just hang at loading the RAM disk.
Reverting back to 3.16.43-2 seems to solve the issue.
