I could not find an existing bug report for this.

Is there any reason to think that 2.6.23 would be any different? (I am using

Dear Sir,
I bought Etch distribution of Debian.
Unfortunatly, I did not find out module snd-maestro2.ko.
And 3 DVD distribution Etch has not source kernel code.
Before I used Debian Potato.
Here such module was.
As I remember, it was called maestro2.ko.
Please, help me get such module for kernel
Package: linux-image-2.6.18-4-amd64
Version: 2.6.18.dfsg.1-12
severity: medium
Booting this kernel on a machine equipped with 4GB+ RAM and sb600-based
controller, causes ahci to hang, as the hardware is not really 64 bit
capable.
Since 2.6.22 there exists a patch already, details can be found on
on errors unrelated to the percpu problem. So while I was packing
the shot, I figured I'd just build ipv6 staticly and be done with it.

- This patch will only build a -smp kernel, since that's all I need.
- The ABI check was complaining; I didn't bother making it happy in a proper
manner, but rather shut it up by commenting it out.

I am still getting the problem.
I have
CDR_NODMATEST=true

The drive reads CDs and DVDs all right.
I insert a blank CD-R disk in the drive.
I run:
wodim dev=/dev/cdrw /home/john/debian-testing-i386-CD-1.iso
in a terminal and I get:

I had a problem with the firmware when installing Debian Etch using the net
installation disk as it wasn't included due to license restrictions. This is
how I solved it if you might be interested:
