drive is working with this patch.
It would be nice to apply/backport this patch to the Debian Etch kernel.
Otherwise using a tape drive will cause a kernel OOPS.

tape drive will fail. I have made some tests with the patch
and applied it on the 2.6.18 source - everything is working fine.

1. psaux - my process list after the OOPS
2. the complete syslog exception
3. in subfolder "tmp" all needful information from mondo-restore e.g.
mondo-restore.log with the tar command executed
